Research Indicates that schools improve when teachers are given the time and support to work together to clarify essential student learning, develop common assessments for learning, analyze evidence of student learning, and use that evidence to learn from one another.
To facilitate this process, we have set aside Wednesdays as 'Early-Out' days. On these days, the school day for students ends at 1:50 and teachers use the time to work together in teams to continuously improve the educational program at PINT.
To keep the total instructional time the same, an additional 12 minutes has been added to each of the other school days.
Working in Professional Learning Communities has enabled the teachers at Paradise Intermediate to make great strides at improving student learning.
