Safe Routes to School

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

The Town of Paradise will soon begin construction to add sidewalks from Skyway to Academy drive to facilitate walking and biking access to schools along Pearson Road.

We want to learn more about the biking and walking to/from school habits of children in Paradise in order to help improve the safety of young pedestrians and cyclists. Please take a few minutes to complete this brief online survey.

Paradise Unified Communication Survey

Paradise Unified is asking for staff, family and community input in our second annual Communication Survey that can be accessed on the district website at today through May 8th. The survey results will help guide our efforts to improve communication practices and ensure that everyone has the information they need to help our students and community succeed.

What's Up at Paradise Intermediate

Dear Parents and guardians of 8th grade students,

As the year is winding down, anticipation of getting a break from school grows. This excitement has lead some students to make choices that are not safe, respectful, or responsible. We want as many students as possible to partcipate and enjoy the transition to high school. For this to happen, we need students to show respect to the adults on campus and follow the school rules.  To this end, we are ammending our 8th grade promotion and activities guidelines as follows:

Any student who has earned a one day suspension or 2 or more majors during the 4th quarter, will not be able to participate in the end of the year activities which may include: the promotion ceremony, the promotion dance, the awards ceremony and the 8th grade activity day, as determined by the school administration.

Parents – Do you have a girl going into 6th, 7th or 8th grade in the fall? We are happy to announce that PINT will be hosting a Heart & Sole (Girls on the Run’s program for middle school girls) team again this fall!

Heart & Sole is MUCH more than a running program. We BUILD GIRLS’ CONFIDENCE, HELP THEM REALIZE THEIR POTENTIAL, UNDERSTAND BETTER WHO THEY ARE and TEACH THEM THAT THEY CAN DO ANYTHING THEY SET THEIR MINDS ON. It all happens through fun, dynamic lessons and running games. Running is used to encourage lifelong health and fitness while building confidence through accomplishment.

At the season's conclusion, the girls will implement a community service project and complete a 5K (3.1 miles) fun run. Completing the 5K gives the girls a tangible sense of achievement as well as a framework for setting and achieving life goals and teaching girls that they CAN.

Lottery Registration OPENS MAY 9th at 8 am and CLOSES MAY 26th at 5 pm. We will run the Lottery after 5 pm on May 26th and families will know by Tuesday, May 30th if their daughter has a spot for the fall or is put on a waiting list. TEAMS are LIMITED to 15 girls so be sure to register during Lottery.

Our fall 2017 season will begin the week of Sept. 4th 2017. Girls meet 2X/week on campus right after-school (days of the week will be determined by the coaches). The celebratory GOTR 5K fun run will be held Saturday November 11th in Bidwell Park in Chico.

You can visit our website at for more information, registration fees and to find the link to our registration page.
